Temperature test
SONACME Technology provides temperature testing and temperature and humidity testing in test chambers ranging from small desktops to large walk-in test chambers. We support custom oversized walk-in constant temperature and humidity chambers to accommodate larger test samples, including automobiles, drones, and large machinery. If you have a large product that needs to be tested, SONACME Technology will help you customize the test solution.
SONACME Technology provides different temperature humidity test chambers. The temperature testing capabilities of our constant temperature and humidity chambers range from low temperature testing at -70°C to high temperature testing at +200°C. We also have laboratory ovens that can reach 1500°C.
SONACME Technology customized a large walk-in temperature humidity test chamber equipped with dual 30 hp compressors and can achieve a temperature conversion rate of up to 20 degrees per minute. This test chamber allows temperature cycling testing of large items with aggressive transition times.
Overview of Temperature Testing
Temperature testing according to MIL-STD 810 Methods 501, 502, and 503 tests an item's ability to operate under extreme conditions. Testing can be performed under constant temperature exposure or cyclic temperature exposure.
Temperature cycle test
There are two programs for temperature cycling:
Program I - Temperature Storage. MIL-STD 810 specifies that the number of cycles for storage testing is set to a minimum of 7, consistent with a 1% frequency of extreme temperature hours in the worst months of the year in the worst locations on average. (Maximum temperature occurs approximately one hour per cycle) When considering extended storage, critical materials, or identified materials that are very sensitive to high temperatures, increase the number of cycles to ensure design requirements are met.
Procedure II - Run the test. MIL-STD 810 specifies a minimum number of cycles of 3 to run the test. This number is usually sufficient for the test item to reach its maximum response temperature. A maximum of seven cycles is recommended when repeatable temperature responses are difficult to obtain.
Temperature accelerated aging test
Temperature-accelerated weathering testing is used to determine the expected life cycle of a product, helping to establish shelf life guidelines, such as shelf life. One of the most common test procedures for temperature accelerated aging is ASTM F1980, which focuses on sterile barrier systems for medical device packaging. By using high temperature, humidity, vibration and other environmental variables, we are able to simulate the effects of conditions as they affect a product or packaging over the long term. Temperature testing is an important tool for accurate accelerated burn-in testing.
