Sonacme Technology's xenon  test chamber is a professional environmental climate testing equipment designed to accelerate the assessment of material durability and stability by simulating the aging effects of sunlight. The equipment strictly follows the international standard ISO 4892 ‘Plastics - Methods of exposure to laboratory light sources’ to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the test results.

Interpretation of ISO 4892 standard

ISO 4892 is an international standard for exposure test methods for plastic materials to a laboratory light source, with a particular focus on tests using fluorescent ultraviolet lamps (e.g. xenon lamps). The standard specifies methods for exposing specimens to fluorescent ultraviolet radiation, heat and water to simulate the weathering effects that occur when materials are exposed to global solar radiation or to solar radiation through window glass in an actual end-use environment. This standard is suitable for assessing the weathering resistance and ageing stability of a wide range of materials such as plastics, rubbers, paints, coatings, lacquers, fibres, textiles, etc., when exposed to UV radiation.

Advantages of Sonacme's xenon  test chamber based on ISO 4892

Long service life of light source: the service life of air-cooled xenon  of small xenon  test chamber can reach 1500 hours, and the service life of water-cooled xenon  of large xenon  test chamber can reach 2000 hours.

Filters: A variety of filters are available, such as daylight filters, window glass filters or UV extension filters, to meet different test requirements.

Irradiance monitoring and setting: Irradiance monitoring in various ways, such as 340nm, 420nm or 300nm~400nm. The irradiance setting range is wide and can be adjusted according to the test requirements.

Effective exposure area: the effective exposure area of the small xenon  tester is 2800cm², and 25 pieces of 150mm×70mm samples can be placed at one time.

The effective exposure area of large xenon test chamber reaches 6500cm², and can expose 63~65 pieces of 150mm×70mm standard samples at one time.

Sonacme Technology's xenon  test chamber not only meets the requirements of ISO 4892 ‘Plastics - Laboratory Light Exposure Methods’ test methods, but also provides personalised aging test solutions according to the different needs of customers, and monitors and records data in real time during the test to provide customers with a full range of services.
